Nothing says fall has officially arrived much more than getting all of your loved ones together and taking a trip out to your favorite pumpkin patch to pick up some much-needed seasonal decorations for your Kay Builders home—and lucky for you, you have a wide variety of locations to choose from this year. 

No matter what day of the week you enter Grim’s Orchard and Family Farms, you’ll always have plenty of activities to enjoy. Start off the day with a boost of energy from a number of tasty treats on the menu such as the apple cider donuts, apple cider slushies, kettle corn and so much more before making your way through the pick-your-own apple orchard and pumpkin patch in order to find the best one around. On Saturdays and Sundays, you won’t want to miss out on Grim’s Fall Festival where you can explore the corn maze, hay rides and everything in between. 

Another location you’ll definitely want to visit this season is Valley Fruits & Veggies in the rural area surrounding Bethlehem. Now through Sunday, October 30, you’ll be able to experience the Lehigh Valley Fall Fest 2022 where you can make your way through the corn maze, explore the variety of children’s activities available and stop by the Pumpkin Cafe for a sweet treat before heading back home after a full day of fun.

Local events you won’t want to miss

The fall season is never in short supply of incredible events throughout the Lehigh Valley, and we have a few specific ones in mind that you’ll want to make sure you fit into your busy schedule. 

The town of Bethlehem may be known as the Christmas City, but they have a number of activities to look into no matter the season, and the fall months showcase this even more as the area gets ready for the SteelStacks Oktoberfest. The event will go from Friday, September 30 to Sunday, October 2 and from Friday, October 7 to Sunday, October 9. Throughout both weekends, you’ll be able to fill up on bratwursts, pretzels and beer and watch a number of live music performances, traditional dances and the always anticipated Pennsylvania State Steinholding Championship. 

For a perfect fall event that all of your loved ones can enjoy, Boo at the Zoo is definitely something you’ll want to check out in the Lehigh Valley. This incredible event will take place over three different weekends—October 15-16, October 22-23 and October 29-30. Make sure to put on your best Halloween costumes when you make the trip, however, as there will be trick-or-treating stations set up each weekend from 10a.m. until 3:30p.m. as well as a variety of additional activities that are perfect for keeping the kids entertained. The Great Pumpkin Fest at Dorney Park is another great event for the whole family and takes place each weekend until October 30. If you’re interested in getting more into the spooky side of the season, however, the Halloween Haunt at Dorney Park is definitely an event you will want to check out. 

When in doubt—you can never go wrong with hopping in the car and taking a scenic drive to take in the beautiful fall foliage. With a number of incredible hiking trails all around you in the Lehigh Valley, take your pick from Hawk Mountain, the Wildlands Conservancy or the Delaware & Lehigh Valley National Heritage Corridor and marvel at the stunning natural beauty that you are able to call home.
